Dinner @ Shokudo

Hey, finally got chance to try that Japanese Marche style restaurant @ Raffles City new extension. Went super early..hhah around 6pm so there wasn't any queue at all.


Haha chop seat chop seat... wooden circle thingy.Put on table to chop can liao. Hm...maybe I go make something similar..then can bring to office. Good to use during lunch!!~

Then they issue us the card that we can use to order food lor... 1 card lost == $100 fine...well...think about it..its japanese food u noe? Not hard to eat more than $100..... hahahahah shhhh u noe what i mean... Anyway, me went with my fren...we both eat until so bloated....only spend $60 like that.

Well was too busy eating that i didn;t take the photo of food i ate..... the best i think is the omelette...dunno how to explain.. but i tell u .... i have never eaten any other omelette better than this. trust me... 100/100 .. its really what i say...melts in your mouth and taste great!! Ok it looks like the one below...only omelette...not the one that sells with chicken chop..got other blogs say the one with chicken chop one not nice de...i never eat...nothing to say...
My fren tried the beef burger...it looks really huge and can see it taste delicious.


As for me, of course tako and scallop .... hahahah tako sashimi very fresh =D ... no need take picture...everywhere it looks the same...duh! Sushi nice and fresh....seaweed crispy crispy...cos u just order, they make..and then u bring back ur table and eat...haha no need go round sushi track...of course crispy! No scallop sashimi though...but i ate the grill sticks la... scallop very big....4 piece in 1 stick... yum yum. Also got eat asparagus with bacon...


By this time, i was bloated liao...but still dessert always ..... no desserts no complete meal =D Miss Chok's theory =D
The dessert name very long.... "Chestnut ice with red bean matcha bla bla and mochi" something like that...hahah itsvery shiok...but very sweet..... At first i thought its just like ice kachang la...but then when i see them make...wa piang...its very SOLID.... 1st layer ice , then a lot of matcha sauce and red bean... Its already a lot of liao4 already...then still pack some mountain of ice...then then double more red bean , sauce , chestnut and mochi.... Well on the way back to my table...i still drop 1 chestnut on the floor...cos its too heavy le.....

Hehehe in the end cannot eat finish la...but then it was really enjoyable dinner...=D

19 April - Xiang Jin Jung Gathering

Okies, Xiang Jin Jung gathering @ Hanabi restaurant 19 Apr -- 6.30pm start.

Hheheh an here is our Xiang Jin Jung ....thinking about what to eat..

Was quite hungry when we were there, so I was busy eating..nv take photos. But anyway, the food disappointed me...so i go nothing to blog. Except -- dun try the soup...zzzzz

Next we argued for quite some time before we decided to leave king's arcade and go somewhere else for desserts. We decided to go Holland V and then in the car park i saw this cool car...

Quite good luck for us that nite, 2 cars both found parking lots heheh... we went to Olio Cafe for our desserts and while waiting.... the paparazzi team came..

See...our team of "professionals" lol! Anyway we did took quite nice pictures of our desserts.
And the funniest thing was that candle in the fondue set....lala only discovered that "burning flame" when we almost eaten 2/3 of the chocolate... she was still wondering..how come its still warm???


Chocolate fondue set--- 7/10...cos no ice-cream leh...although there was banana....but the rest of the things still quite ok...chocolate very thick =D

LX and WY ordered this mango/ Pear mousse thingy...looks nice la..but i nv tasted it ...so also dunno really nice anot hahah

My ice mocha with vanilla ice-cream...not too bad ..not too good... 6/10 ??

Not forgetting to take nice pictures although we kept taking candid-shots only.

Gathering ended at around 11.20 pm...all shacked..hahaha...

Gadgetz I CANNOT live without with...

Haha just had lunch. Decided to write on my gadgetz.

1) My Phone - Sony Ericsson W960
--> a must have @ anytime , any place. Built-in camera for me to snap snap everything i want =D













2) My Palm -- Tungsten E2
--> My schedule, notes, to do, to buy ..everything also there. Trying to "migrate" to my hp...but then again. Nothing can compare with the speed i write in my palm man!!









3) My Nintendo DS Lite -- As long as i will take public transport. I will bring this everywhere I go. So that I can play hehehe . Currently playing Apollo Justice - Ace Attorney Its a game where u play as lawyer, finding evidence and playing as defense lawyer where u can just object when the witness is making contradicting statements.




4) My mp3 player -- iRiver H10. Have been using this for a few years liao. Old and good =D. A daily must!!! I think the only time i dun bring this out was when my ears were 'ringing' after concert the very next day. Packed with 4GB music everyday hehehehe. Now blasting with my new power earphones.

Wu Bai Concert @ 2008

It was absolutely fantastic concert hahaha!!! Wu Bai sang so many of the songs that I like, got chinese and hokkien. He also sang the 881 <一人一半> .

This time round I sat a bit far la...didn't take much picture. But i took 1 which i think looks real cool.

The music was really heavy rock metal.. shiok la.. But then my ear spoil liao...now still keep hearing ...ring...ring...ring..... i like the guitar man!! He got 4 guitars for the concert

Wine Appreciation

This is cool! 1st time i joined a wine appreciation activity. Haha started off at 6pm like that, from my dept only me, Zai liang and Mary. Also met Germaine there, fren from another dept.The speaker very cute , a lot of actions when he talked . So we started with wine tasting before any boring theory.

All trying to pay attention..but all eager to try the wine. Yah i luv white one =D











All had a glass of Chardonnay. And this is my fav white wine for the day. Sweet light taste.

Haha i just checked my mini white collection at home...got this type also..same type of grape one.

The speaker said that this type of grape is easier to grow and make white.. so if u want to try making...erm..plant this lor =D

2nd drink of the evening is also another white wine. BUT...basically i dun like this one. From the moment the pouring started...it doesn't smell the type i like...then taste liao...erm..yah........ ..dun like ....
We were each also given a plastic some cup, to keep the wine first so that we can do comparison of taste / color later. Erm.....Germaine say she want keep this one. For me, i donated to the steel bin..show u later...
Next up is Red white time! 1st Merlot red white. Not expensive but nice one. A lot of the tasters said "Good!"

Sunrise Merlot got that kind of red wine taste that i like. But then, i kept it first.Thought that if i drink it all, then maybe can't drink anymore others. White + Red for me == Blur !!
So my turn to keep it in the small plastic cup. While in the end i managed to drink it all =D

So we all had 2 glasses only. 1 crystal wine glass and 1 plastic cup. So where do the " un-drank " wine? After the swirlling and smelling...... plus washing of the glasses with water. All "extra" liquid is here.
So at this moment, we have tried 3 types liao. The 4th one was a power one. Once open can smell the alcohol le....i was like...waa this one power! But then again... the after taste in the mouth like bland.... but maybe i have drank too much till i blanded my tastes le.. PLUS i was HUNGRY...havent eat dinner leh....

And i remember by the time we were at this wine, quite not attentive liao. we were busy talking and drinking. And because the speaker got a bit of ang moh slang, I wasn't hearing anything English liao. Can't seem to understand what he was saying......haha or was i drunk ??

Heheh the next one was GREAT. My fav for the nite. One sip and I was fascinated liao...cos this is the type i like lor.. Typical Australian red wine taste..Another type of Merlot wine.
Really like this..so when the session ended. I took an extra 1/2 glass before i left. Can't resist heheeheh.

Last wine for the day is dessert wine. Some real skinny bottle...













So thats all for the wine tasting. Can't imagine i really 'hiong hiong' try 6 types..haha break record liao. Never had i tried so many types in 1 single drinking session.

And Mary was very red....good blood circulation =D
