SG Toy and Comic Convention 2008

Okie, being childish i went to the SG toy and comic fair....at first i thought its going to be some kiddy show..with winne the poohs, mickey mouse, barney etc etc.....and then i was wrong...hehe its a more anime , gaming....young adults fair....

Held @ Suntec hall level 6...the moment i step in...i saw my fav !

Mario!~!! heheh its the nintendo DS lite booth lor..they got a few consoles there with some games, pokemon , cake mania 2 and got 1 game caught my interest too 'Summon Night: Twin Age'...ok i am going to get it =D Although now i'm still crazy over patapon on PSP... ;p

Seems like Nintendo is big sponsor for this event...got large booth for Wii also..pple playing those sporty game..and the guitar hero game....but no sony psp booth...Xbox have...quite small also.

Next i started walking to those crowded stores and snap snap lotsa of toy pictures


The "tofu" toy very cute...so many pattern =D They got my fav dumb dumb look also =D


All the booths have very nicely decorated backwall ...like the example above...some booth even selling the "wall!




Other than tofu..the other very popular toy is bear...even got the batman & joker pattern one...Really tempted to buy..but i tell myself..my room really no space to put liao....the cactus looking toy also nice...and the monster toy....forgot their names le..i was just busy taking pictures...there was this section in the middle of the hall that dun allow pictures..that one got doraemon de.....

There was also a screen preview of some anime ....looks nice....but then again..i was nv a fan of anime...the only one i watched was Slam Dunk..


I realized that people are getting smarter...even bears can be linked to tradional chinese wedding themes...with 四点金 OMG...dunno whether LALA wants??


The LEGO booth was having some lego making competition...looking at the models displayed there...i think i noe what is the theme liao... "We are Singapore ....We are Singapore...... "

It was near dinner time..i was hungry...then i saw this booth thinking..WA got bread to eat...wow lucky i nv buy and bite it...its TOYS!! ...they look so real...and SMELL so real....OMG...i thought i was hallucinating the smell at first...... buts its really real bread smell...

Bandai have very nice toys.....三国bb Gundam..something like that...and the booth was really crowded..there were a lot of very popular cartoon toys..like Ben 10 and power Rangers...wanted to snap more photos..but was unable to squeeze with the kids....


STARWARS booth was very pro...showed so many different versions ever since they started





老夫子 was also made into cute little figurines!!! I wonder do kids nowadays read the comic???

I was bored u see....

Ok, i was surfing net and i found this, http://www.picnik.com/ . At first thought it was some similar thingy with picasa / flickr. Later then realized that the photo editing tool is easy to use to create very nice effects.

Here is the original photo i have.Taken roughly at around 5 plus i think.Then I played with some contrast and exposure settings. Then managed to make it look like its later in the evening le.!!! So amazed...

Cookies from Cookie Museum

You got to try this people! I am fan of butter cookies yah...this one is NOT butter cookies. Sweet fragrance cookies. Got the blueberry one and the rose cookie. When u eat it...omg! u really just taste it like erm...rose tea ?? dunno how to describe...but it is addictive.

Was walking pass this place call "The Cookie Museum" @ Esplanade. They got many small pieces samping cookies...being fan of cookie...couldn't resist tasting it. And then 1st thing i asked the gal was "How much is this tin?" Cos from the taste of it and the cafe decor...i noe its not going to be <$10 hahah...Fair enuf...price was like 1 tin ard $30.... well...I was with DJ and XZ... so managed to buy 2 tins and we shared..... ok...its NOT ENUF FOR ME... I'm going back to buy another blueberry tin....and i will only share with a few pple...hehe. The tin was nice and I took some artistic photos from my hp. Just trying to act pro la..

Dinner @ Serangoon Gardens

Today's dinner was real funny man!! Hahaha first had the standard "everything also order"dinner @ Chomp Chomp. All ate until sweat like siao.. ... really a good feast for our Xiang Jin Jung before she fly for Korea. I bet she will miss the food here. 12 of us really too big a group, we managed to get 12 pple seat together across 2 benches.. quite far la...so nv get to talk..besides.. Chomp Chomp is not a place to sit too long... Pple stared at us as we are almost finishing cos they wanna take our seats. Although i said "dun care" but still faster faster drink finish my giant grass jelly drink and off we go....

Next we went to ice^3 ...some ulu looking small cafe nearby. Set down on 2 glaring blue neon light table....so glaring that we all stare until eyes also pain.


Luckily, we got the cooperation from the next table and decided to get the waiter to off the blue light. Dessert there was normal lor...except the affogato that i order was really ....haizz....super super small cup....wait till LX send me the picture then i post here.

The fun part for this gathering was the video taking. Cos we decided to get LX to do a short clip asking her how she feeling la..... preparations for korea etc...(get the clip from me).

Lots of cranky jokes etc....then came another super funny thing. Since it was YJ belated b-day, we decided to interview her too. Hahah that was when we found out.......(get the clip from me).

Hahaha I bet once u all see the clips sure laugh until pengz....More photo taking before we left the cafe. When almost immediately sound so quiet after we left hahaha..

Anyways, 3rd May @ Airport..... sending our dear Xiang Jin Jung...

Ah Bi B-Day -- Sneak Preview

Okie, Ah Bi b-day 8 May 2008. Our plan is to have our May's Baby celebration this friday @ Miss Clarity Cafe. Before that, her presents are hand delivered by us first hahaha...cos due to our 'Spy Kua' , we know she needs a bag for attending dinner this sat =D


Aiya, forgot to take the picture of the card cover.....hehehe. Anyways, the small "green- like" (i dunno whats the name of the color, but definitely not turquoise as 'Spy Kua' keeps insisting it is to Ah yan) present is a special card holder.. Looks like coin purse but its not! ..Cool...

Dinner @ Shokudo

Hey, finally got chance to try that Japanese Marche style restaurant @ Raffles City new extension. Went super early..hhah around 6pm so there wasn't any queue at all.


Haha chop seat chop seat... wooden circle thingy.Put on table to chop can liao. Hm...maybe I go make something similar..then can bring to office. Good to use during lunch!!~

Then they issue us the card that we can use to order food lor... 1 card lost == $100 fine...well...think about it..its japanese food u noe? Not hard to eat more than $100..... hahahahah shhhh u noe what i mean... Anyway, me went with my fren...we both eat until so bloated....only spend $60 like that.

Well was too busy eating that i didn;t take the photo of food i ate..... the best i think is the omelette...dunno how to explain.. but i tell u .... i have never eaten any other omelette better than this. trust me... 100/100 .. its really what i say...melts in your mouth and taste great!! Ok it looks like the one below...only omelette...not the one that sells with chicken chop..got other blogs say the one with chicken chop one not nice de...i never eat...nothing to say...
My fren tried the beef burger...it looks really huge and can see it taste delicious.


As for me, of course tako and scallop .... hahahah tako sashimi very fresh =D ... no need take picture...everywhere it looks the same...duh! Sushi nice and fresh....seaweed crispy crispy...cos u just order, they make..and then u bring back ur table and eat...haha no need go round sushi track...of course crispy! No scallop sashimi though...but i ate the grill sticks la... scallop very big....4 piece in 1 stick... yum yum. Also got eat asparagus with bacon...


By this time, i was bloated liao...but still dessert always ..... no desserts no complete meal =D Miss Chok's theory =D
The dessert name very long.... "Chestnut ice with red bean matcha bla bla and mochi" something like that...hahah itsvery shiok...but very sweet..... At first i thought its just like ice kachang la...but then when i see them make...wa piang...its very SOLID.... 1st layer ice , then a lot of matcha sauce and red bean... Its already a lot of liao4 already...then still pack some mountain of ice...then then double more red bean , sauce , chestnut and mochi.... Well on the way back to my table...i still drop 1 chestnut on the floor...cos its too heavy le.....

Hehehe in the end cannot eat finish la...but then it was really enjoyable dinner...=D
