Kenting tour - 蓝天，大海， 白云

On the way from taitung to kenting , we travelled past pacific ocean. The water is really really very blue and wide...u can imagine how shiok it is..if can shout across the ocean. But as not to scare the whole tour group, didn't get to do the shouting =(

Checked in to our kenting resort quite early today...went to play some games and walk thru a tunnel to reach the beach,. yeah....sunset beginning at around 5pm. Tried taking a photo although it looks dark.

The beach looks nicer. Its really enjoyable to be there listening to the waves and enjoying the sea breeze.

The clouds really look like smoke coming out of the mountains! Never seen such beautiful sky ..

Thinking of my new year resolution.

5 more days of tour and i'll be returning back to singapore...the realistic world.. This is the first time ever where i wanted this holiday myself..coming to taiwan for 2 weeks. And i knew i wan to eat , shop and relax... but most impt, i wanted a break for myself.

Have been doing very very routine stuff . Those we know me, will know what i'm doing. Nearer end of 2009 ard august, i did made some major changes to my lifestyle...not willing to elaborate here..but anyway..i did made significant changes.

Life is still the same, i do have little things that make me happy every single days. and also little things that i do that leads to some 满足感..but in a way....some things still dun happen the way i want.

Made a wish on the 天灯 last nite, hope what i wish would come true.....2010...i wonder whats going to happen....

My Thoughts

Today is Christmas dae. Here I am in taiwan for my 1st tour. today is the last night for my free and easy tour. Tomorrow we be joining the tour group from singapore .

Have been at taipei the past 5 days . I would say this is indeed a great learning trip for me . From preparing for things to bring , Taking plane, hotel stay and tour around . I have seen and learnt a lot . Culture difference and peoples behaviour ,transportation are all different .

The country size also made me once again reflect how small we are . Just the entire taipei city . Is already much bigger than singapore . The metro mrt map looks as complicated as our mrt map. But since chinese is not an issue, we didn;t have much problems travelling on our own.

Day 2 @ Taiwan

Rise and shine!!! its day 2!! Went to eat hotel breakfast at 9.30am...had toast with ham and eggs....yummy...

Set off for our shopping day at around 10.30, today's weather is good! 19 degrees with a bit of sun.
The mrt in taiwan...taking this mode of transport everyday now...convenient just need to use the easy card just like our ez link card...tap tap tap can liao....

Went to Guang hua complex....the Taiwan version of sim lim square...haha so many IT gadgets and stuff...but prices are not cheaper anyway...so didn;'t buy any IT stuff...although got buy some special gifts....this was the mascot outside...cute right?

See they got purple color mascot also!! For the flower expo next here ...

Miso char siew ramen hehehe.....cheap and nice. And got lotsa beansprouts!!!

1st impression of taiwan

Reach Taoyuan airport around 4.30 pm....so many pple rush to the departure custom pt....1st chop for my passport!! I can feel the air cooler then usual...
Ok, after waiting for a super long time to collect our luggage from that belt... we went to meet our driver..The moment i step out of airport, waa...it was like u step into the cold storage vege section and there are fans there......to me ...COLD.,,,,, but ok la....very fast the van came ....

On the way to hotel.....it was only 5pm! But look at the sky above...its like sunset pattern liao...

i was chit chatting with my fren, and the next moment i realised it was very very dark liao!! And it was only 5.35 pm ..!!! Strange weather.,,,ok i sua ku...

Observation 1) Taiwan cars are left hand drive.....on road also 60-70 km/h only... cos quite heavy traffic...

Observation 2) Which i found out frm shilin mkt....sleepy now..i blog about shilin tml....but then observation 2 was that...it is not easy to find dustbin for u to throw ur rubbish there...

Observation 3) The pple selling the big sweep ticket are almost simliar to singapore ones..they also assign the physically disabled to sell these tickets....

1st Plane experience

Yes before i forget, let me write down my 1st plane experience. Well i would say i am very very excited and also very very nervous...haha cos i heard too many versions from too many pple about the ear pressure thingy in the plane....

ok conclusion, it does feel a bit uncomfortable during the starting and the ending part....going up and going down u feel the pressure change...and my solution was KEEP eating sweets.,....yes it was sufficient....i survived the ear thingy....

During the flight, my best protection was my own earphones...noise cancelling..the best..listen music or watch show or play game...all ok.... perfect!! The only bad thing was when i was trying to watch show and the flight attendant announced something....the volume thru my own earphones is really Loud!! ...

Then there was 2 turbulence i think....when they announce u cannot walk around..u must put seat belt....but basically dun really feel alot of shaking la.....phew!~

Ok thats all about flight experience.....next up will be 1st impression of taiwan~!

Day 1 to Taiwan!

Day 1 --- on the way to taiwan, At the airport.... guess which one is mine ..hahah

Boarded plane around 1145am....and then being too nervous...i DID NOT take any pictures at all.......

Earthquake @Hua Lien Taiwan

Oppz, heard the news...got some quake that went off today at Hua Lien... Well i'll probably be in that area next weekend.

Hope no more major quakes in taiwan....at least during my stay there...

Many frens have reported its very cold now...Hm..got my thick clothings and jackets and thick pants..socks..gloves..scarf...hat.... So frens of mine...dun worry,, I am well equipped !!

Things i didn't believe i would do ( 10 yrs ago...)

1) Wear contact lens --- Rubbing my eyes is almost a daily routine, back then...if i wear lens, i think i will probably rub them into my eyes!~! And i dun even dare to put normal eye drops last time haha

2) Learn abacus --- i was a maths person...yes very maths....its my fav subject. Calculator and computer are my best frens...so its like hm...why did i learn abacus?? Oh well, i was kind of bored and quite jealous how come young little kids can count so fast learning abacus...so i took 3G abacus course. Yes, i am qualified now...but hm...how fast?? (ok la huh...)

3) Travel --- haha still have not until now..but soon...in 12 days time . Haha i also can't believe why i suddenly just wan to go.... =)

4) Become a programming person --- well..back then i didn't really noe anything about computers, i just like electronic stuff from calculators( yes my fav toy), to phones, walkman, discman and i even like typewriter... SO naturally i am attracted to keyboards.. Once saw an ang moh guy do programming...work a few hours a day for 1 mth and earn so many K!! That was when i decided to learn IT....

5) Carry dog --- ok i am still afraid of dogs, but then there is just this one dog (my cousin's maltese) that i can carry.. she is the super guai type...can carry one... haha...cannot imagine right?? I carry the dog???


The list goes on but all i can conclude is ...pple change and anything can happen....who noes what happens in 10 years when u dun even noe what will happen in the next 10 hours....

Result of my 1st green session.

Ok I didn't become lobster . I became chao da.. first time on green haha fun but many dumb shots ... 1st 5 hole was horrible , lost 2 balls into the water  . Lucky those are free 2nd hand balls we got when we bought our clubs . 2nd 5 holes although all my shots not nice swing I still manage to get +20 after minus handicap .

Overall quite fun session just that disappointed with my progress. I guess really need go range practice a few more months before next time go green .

I love my Android phone!

Yipee ! it works! Now i can surf net on my netbook anywhere anytime. Guess what i can connect my phone to via usb and then surf net using my mobile data plan. Yes!! 30GB to spare hahaha

Here's how for those having non-root Android phone (mine is HTC Dream lor)

1) Go google market download proxoid

3) Bingo! It works.

For the lucky users with rooted android phones, there are many software outside that can do wifi-tethering just like the iphone. Meaning they can surf net happily using any laptop or even psp , just need to connect via wi fi to their phone can liao.

Anyway, me no complains liao at least now i can start making full use of my dataplan...haha like play facebook on train! hahahahahhaah

Hehe just bought this last night from uniqlo =D $29.90 only! Nice purple color , my favourite!

Strange Dreams...

Been having strange dreams for past 3 nights. Not too sure why, maybe body getting too heaty. 1st dream was monday night, i dreamt i went to some sort of speed boat at night, but dunno going where... it just goes in 1 direction into the sea and i don't see any destination. 2nd dream on tuesday night, dreamt of some clock that is frozen , covered with ice that look like ice kachang one.

Last night i dream of something, but now i can't remember what it is...only remember in my dream i said something like " are u sure ? confirmed ? " ...

lets hope tonight i can sleep properly else tomorrow i wonder how am i going to wake up at 5 am and go for my golf test at 7am. Wish me good luck man! I hope i dun become a "lobster" after that. =p

Okie, this time round i never buy anything for myself from the fair...helped fren buy canon ink (got lotsa freebies) and 1TB HDD (wwooo).

BUT i finally bought my very 1st camera for myself. Got the Panasonic lumix TZ7 from amk shop...quite good price..and got my 2 piece 8GB card...enuf to shoot shoot shoot =D hehehehe plus can do HD video recording!

spent lotsa of money these days hehehe but anyways work hard and play EXTRA hard HAHAHA

Sunday night thoughts

周末就这样忽忽过去了. 但是短短的两天里却是很eventful的. 每一个周未我都会Review这个星期complete了什么,也会开始想想新的―个礼拜的schedule,and these days my schedule has become more and more eventful. Starting to do new things and its a good sign as I have slowly begin to get rid of the burnout feeling..

Changing

Yes my thoughts are changing again. Can feel quite a lot going over my mind these days. tried some Myers-Briggs test and results showed that i seem to change from ENTJ -> ESFJ or ESTJ.....Can see a bit of changing from thinking to feeling and quite obvious change from intuition to sensing. Hm...到底是改变还是转变？

Yup its been quite some time since i last came here to crap something. Hm, been busy lately will all sorts of stuff as usual. Not really in the blogging mood. Come June I think i will be more free, perhaps will change my blog layout once again.

Today news reported more cases of H1N1 again in SG. Well....life's short, we nv know when a deadly virus will just hit us and wept us all out. All we can do is take whatever precaution we can to take care of ourselves.

Its been nearly a year since my aunt left us, time really flies like nobody's business. But my memory of her still stays with me every single day.

I kept my promise for myself..........Life's short, I must stay happy.
